# Andrzej Krzywda

Andrzej Krzywda (born 1980) is a Polish software engineer, entrepreneur, educator, and chess player. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Arkency, a software consultancy specializing in Ruby on Rails, Domain-driven design, CQRS, and event sourcing. Krzywda is also an active chess player, holding the title of Candidate Master under the FIDE rating system.

## Early life and education

Andrzej Krzywda was born in Poland in 1980. He studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wrocław.

### Software development

Krzywda began his career as a software developer and consultant, focusing on large-scale web applications using Ruby on Rails. He became an early advocate of asynchronous communication and remote-first team culture.

In 2011, he founded **Arkency**, a Poland-based software consultancy known for its expertise in complex Rails systems and Domain-Driven Design. Under his leadership, Arkency has provided software development, architecture consulting, and developer training to clients worldwide.

Krzywda has also authored several educational resources and online courses through Arkency's learning platform, including:
